Impact Exhibition and Convention Centre is Thailand’s most renowned exhibition venue. Since constructed in 1998, the centre has grown immensely popular.
This project consisted of the expansion of the centre to over double its original size.
EEC Lincolne Scott were appointed as the mechanical and electrical engineering services consultants, as part as an international group of consultants and constructors put together by the owner, to ensure the design and construction of the extension could be fast tracked.
With state of the art facilities over 140,000 square meters of exhibition, conference and event floor space, flexibility of the services was an important criteria and vital to its success for delivery.
As a venue where thousands of people could be gathered at one time in various capacities, methods for environmental control, power facilities, lighting, communications, security and life safety were considerable challenges for the successful delivery of this project.
The complex on completion of these extensions totals over 40,000 sq. m in the area. Further expansion is envisaged with an extra three halls and the potential for retail and hotel facilities.
